The Spring 2009 volunteer trainee class was sworn in at the Oliver Hill Courts Building on May 14, 2009. Nineteen new volunteers took the oath to serve abused and neglected children in Richmond when appointed to do so by the judges in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in the City of Richmond. The Spring 2009 class was one of the largest in history and produced a very spirited, engaged and dedicated group of volunteers, eager to begin their work for the children of Richmond.

Richmond CASA will be helping spread the "cheer" on June 5th and June 19th at Brown's Island. We need seven volunteers on each of these two Fridays from 5:45 - 9:45 PM. Richmond CASA will receive a generous donation for our time worked. This opportunity is open to CASA volunteers, friends and family. Please consider this fun and easy way to give to Richmond CASA. If you would like to help on either day please contact Jana Blue at 804-646-0519 or Jana.Blue@richmondgov.com.
Bistro 27 has been generous to Richmond CASA in the past with gift certificate donations and is now offering 10% of the sales for the evening of Monday, June 8th, to Richmond CASA. Please pass this information on to friends and associates who may be looking for an occasion to take a break from the kitchen. Bistro 27 is located around the corner from our office at 27 W. Broad Street. If you have any questions please contact Jana Blue at 804-646-0519 or Jana.Blue@richmondgov.com.
